Ingredients

  • 4 fillets salmon 6 to 8 oz each, skin-on
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Small bowl
  • Whisk
  • Meat thermometer
  • Paper towels

Method

  1. Whisk the honey, soy sauce, garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil.
  2. Pat the fillets completely dry and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (205°C) for 3 minutes.
  4. Cook the fillets skin-side down in a single layer 8 to 10 minutes, brushing on half the glaze at the halfway point.
  5. Brush with the rest of the glaze in the last minute and rest 2 minutes.

Notes

Glaze in stages: honey scorches over a full cook, so brush at the midpoint and again at the end.
Watch thin fillets — the sugar catches fast.
