  • 4 fillets salmon 6 oz each, skin-on
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice or rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • kosher salt and black pepper
  • sesame seeds optional garnish

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Small bowl
  • Whisk
  • Meat thermometer
  • Paper towels

Method

  1. Whisk the honey, garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice, and olive oil.
  2. Pat the fillets completely dry and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (205°C) for 3 minutes.
  4. Cook the fillets skin-side down in a single layer 8 to 10 minutes, brushing on half the glaze at the halfway point.
  5. Brush with the rest of the glaze in the last minute and rest 2 minutes. Scatter sesame seeds if using.

Notes

Glaze last: honey and garlic burn over a full cook. Brush at the midpoint and again at the end.
Reserve a spoonful of glaze unheated to spoon over at the table.
