Gather and measure. Set out all ingredients.
This helps you tweak seasoning as you go and prevents over-pouring.
Mix the base. In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise and sour cream (or Greek yogurt) until smooth and creamy.
Add the flavor builders. Whisk in the ketchup, Dijon mustard, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce until fully combined.
Season it up. Add smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and a small pinch of salt. Stir well.
Brighten and balance. Add lemon juice and honey. Taste and adjust—more lemon for tang, more honey for balance, more hot sauce for heat.
Optional boost. Stir in pickle juice or a pinch of cayenne if you want extra zing or spice.
Rest for flavor. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
This lets the flavors blend and the sauce thicken slightly.
Serve with air-fried favorites. Use as a dip for fries, chicken tenders, wings, onion rings, Brussels sprouts, or crunchy tofu. It’s also great as a spread on sandwiches or burgers.
Adjust before serving. After chilling, give it a stir and taste again. Chilled sauces can mellow; add a splash of lemon or hot sauce if needed.
